Sidewalk Stories 2022-25
Sidewalk Stories is a project developed through long walks across cities in the United States, particularly Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and San Diego. Working with analogue film and a slow observational approach, the series explores how walking reshapes attention, revealing informal encounters, marginal spaces, and everyday urban rhythms often overlooked in car-centered environments. The work reflects on the act of moving through the city as a way of listening and seeing differently, where chance interactions and fleeting moments become central to understanding urban life. Shot on 35mm film and later edited in dialogue with memory, the project builds a fragmented visual archive of street life, public space, and human presence across different urban contexts.
